While I'm glad the above fixes worked, you can install Windows 11 without the IRST drivers, if you can disable IRST in the BIOS. I just rebuilt my system this way last week - no issues, runs just as good as before.
I noticed that you have Bluetooth turned off on your phone. When I ran Link to Windows that way, my phone was constantly reconnecting in the background, causing many "Connected" messages to be sent. With Bluetooth on, this never happens to me anymore.
Do you really believe anything you just said? Been using Linux for 20 years and have never experienced any of what you posted. "Properly maintain Linux"??? Come on, now - the Linux update processes are light-years ahead of Windows. "Always something that breaks???" Another whopper. While Windows...
No, that's the problem - the search results I've seen reference a Windows Insider setting that just doesn't exist for me. It's only a test VM, so if I need to reinstall it's no big deal.
After seeing this thread - Switch from Beta to Dev builds stuck at 61% - I have hope that this is actually possible. Unfortunately, every search result I find is going the other direction. Can someone please explain how this is done?
I've switched all of my VMs - Linux, BSD, and Windows - to Hyper-V; only real downside for me is the loss of the shared clipboard (don't care about sound). I gave xrdp and nomachine looks, but both were slow and/or glitchy. I really like Enhanced Mode, but my only Windows VM now is W11 Home so...
Wow - that's a lot of information to process. But thanks a bunch for going to all this effort. I guess I really need to decide what the pros/cons are of Active Boot vs. traditional multi-boot before proceeding.
I've got a ton of reading to do.
I have a Hyper-V setup for testing software and development ISOs. For now this works fine, but I find myself needing to run tests on bare metal. I know I can setup my Windows 11 system in a multi-boot setup, but I really want to experiment with Native Boot.
Here's the setup I want to build:

I think I've been overthinking this, making the situation unnecessarily complicated. What I have currently setup is (4) shared folders in my home directory, 2 of which I would like to block access to all systems except one. Not even sure how I would do this with NFS, to be honest.
I will post a...
Coming from a Linux background, I was able to block certain hosts from accessing NFS shares. Is this possible with Windows 11 Home folder sharing? All of the guest VMs are Linux-based (using Hyper-V).
First try was with Winaero Tweaker, been using it for years. I think I found the problem. For some reason, some of the Segoe fonts aren't showing any data in their respective registry entries. For example, Segoe UI (True Type)'s registry entry has nothing in Data.
I'm going to reset them and...
