Edge Dev is the default used with Canary Build 26212.5000 and it is getting this message when it opens.
Submitted feedback to MS Edge. Seen the same issue using the same version of Edge Dev with other Windows Builds...

The known procedures to bypass the MS account do not work anymore. If you enter a fake id like no@thankyou.com or a@b.c, it still asks to create a valid MS account. But the same trick still works if you do it after using oobe\bypassnro even if you are connected to the network.

I tried this recovery option with Build 26212.5000, but it could not find the repair version to reinstall.
It works now with all the other Builds, but not with Canary. 😵💫🤷♂️
On this machine, the watermark on this build is hardly visible depending on the color of the Background picture.
On another machine the text of the watermark is white on dark and much more visible.
Why the difference? Can it be changed?

As per blog, the progress wheel is back, and also Safe Mode is working again.
We fixed the issue causing advanced startup options to not work. This also fixes the progress wheel from not showing when booting.

Just tried again today on one of my machines and did not get any problem with the normal W.U.
I never got the problem before anyway on 4 different machines. 😂🤷♂️
If they fixed anything they sure did not explain what was causing the bug originally. We'll probably never know. 🤐
