You can maybe try to rollback SteelSeries ApS - Extension - 1.0.11.0 or even disable it in device manager , Just to test!
Do a google search for it and you will see many people have problems with it!
Not sure this is the problem, but it's free to try!
You say: "Started getting Hard Crashes" which mean you didn't have them before.
So first step would be to verify and see any changes that may be the cause. Did you update any drivers (specially GPU) and if you did not look in windows update logs and see if windows updated anything. If YES...
This is normal. Legion toolkit has only the default legion plans. If you want to work with audio, then you have to select that power plan from control panel. But as you mentioned Legion toolkit also has a Custom plan. You can import the audio plan in the custom mode and use it from there.
But my...
On my laptop the copilot icon did not change after update. Today when I woke up and turned on my PC it was on the right side! So yes, it seems that they are rolling this out progressively. Now the question is: Why would they move an icon from middle to right progressively! Couldn't that just...
No I am using the late 2022 model which has almost same hardware but 12th Gen CPU and RTX3070Ti.
In your case if the problem is the network adapter then you are all set. You have found the culprit and all you need to do is to disable it when you want to mix audio. You can even write a script...
This proves how complicated it is to troubleshoot PCs even with same hardware! I have the same Realtek Network adapter and it is not causing any problem! It's lucky and great that you finally found the cause as I know many who never figured out what was casing audio drop-outs and had to return...
let me post it again in case there was a problem with the previous file:
put the file in C: Run CMD as Admin and run this command:
powercfg -import "C:\Legion Audio Performance.pow"
This is exactly what I think and said earlier. For professional audio editing/recording/playback it's best to have an external audio device. The onboard sound card will never be enough.
@cloves2023
Let us know if things got any better :)
No you don't need vintage (toolkit is vintage replacement).
The audio profile you imported should be loaded from windows power management.
Go to control panel, then choose "hardware and sound" and then "Power options". There you can choose the audio profile you imported.
Best of luck for tomorrow. It should not take more then 5 minutes to do what I told you and if done it's very probable that there will be no pops .
Just don't forget to set graphic settings to Hybrid_iGpu in the legion toolkit app and to use the audio power plan I posted.
Here are the original power plans from lenovo. Download the compressed folder and put the "Lenovo" folder inside on C:
If you put it elsewhere you need to change the path to the commands listed bellow. Now open cmd as admin and enter all
the commands listed here:
powercfg -import...
Lenovo legion laptops have factory power plans that work with vintage (Lenovo software) or the lenovo toolkit.
It's best to have those installed. The lenovo performance mode is sufficient for audio tasks.
Your power plan problem is normal, because you need to install the Lenovo factory power plans yourself (as you did clean OS install).
If you don't have them I will post it for you later as I am not home right now.
