My Firefox is back to copy and paste not working on most pages...I notice FF in Ubuntu works fine..so this may be a Windows thing??

It's certainly not a general Windows thing. I'm using the same version of Windows you're using, and the same version of FF, and there's no problem on my machines with Copy and Paste.
