MS Defender Application Guard

Running Windows 11 Pro. I enabled MS Defender Application Guard in Control panel/turn Windows features on or off.
Restarted the PC but I don't get the option to open an AG window in Edge.

Do I need to enable anything else? Hyper-V?
CPU has virtualization enabled in BIOS

It’s being deprecated.

Application Guard is a virtualization-based sandbox that's used to isolate untrusted documents you may encounter. It brings the same technology that powers Azure to your desktop. Untrusted documents are opened in an isolated Hyper-V-enabled container, which is separate from the host operating system.

Why not just install Sandboxie plus

You can install Windows Sandbox which offers the same functionality.

You can also use windows sandbox as well which is built in and a simple checkmark to turn on under turn windows features on and off.

If you're running Edge, install the the Square X extension.


You can also install the Square X web app. Both methods allow you to run a virtual browser, virtual file viewer or a virtual mail client in situations where you may be dealing with an untrusted or suspect Internet environment.
