I'd like to vertically mount my 7900xtx but I also would need to keep my PCi-E WiFi card.

I don't know what bracket to buy. Hoping someone here could point me in the right direction.

What I saw on the 'net is that add-in card mounts the same as all add-in cards, has to fit the PCIe X16 slot and the only bracket needed for it to mount to the case is part of it, not much can be done about that. How the Wireless is mounted on the board may be an issue, can't tell from the pictures I found. However, removal of the Wireless then using a USB Wireless dongle would work.

I could use the built in WIFI on the Mobo, Aorus X570S Master, but it doesn't get the same speed as the ASUS AC-88. I was thinking a 2nd riser cable and finding another way to mount it.

I haven't seen any cabling that can move the onboard-socketed Wireless adapter. I got a new ASUS Desktop in 2016 that had a Wireless card mounted in a PCIe 4 slot that mounted just like any other add-in card, still have the card. I find the USB dongles work as fast as the internal adapter in Notebooks if the same 802 level such as 802.11n, 802.11ac, 802.11ax. To add to the mix some of the older 802.11n have 2G but not 5G speeds.

It may be helpful if you post what case you're using.

I've never tried to mount a GPU vertically. Whether it's possible to do that without blocking the use any other PCI-E cards, I don't know.

Here's an alternative to vertical mounting: Nagao's GPU Mirror Reflects the Beauty of Your Rig

(Rats. I was gonna try to patent that. ;-) It may not be patentable: too obvious.)

I can't use Dongles... For some weird reason they cause my USB drivers to hiccup losing signal/power to anything and everything USB related. Very annoying with gaming.

The board does have Wifi built in to it but either it's defective or just not as good as the AC-88 add-in card because I get 100Mbps more with the card than the Mobo. Or perhaps it's just because the antenna is better? Mobo has a dual socket antenna while the AC-88 has 4 sockets and is much bigger.
But there is a riser for that too

If your case does not have a vertical slot, then you can't do it.
How are you going to secure the GPU? Where are you gonna route the video cables? You're going to cut a vertical slot?

I used to have mine vertically mounted but eventually got tired of it. 🤭

No manual for that case, that I managed to find. (I eve resorted to Copilot.) I can't guess whether a "universal" mount would work. (Case mods might be required.) Example: Phanteks.

My impression is that you're wasting your time. Sorry about that.

Well I mean the case looks like a cheap Phanteks or LianLi knock off. If you remove all the tabs there's no metal dividers so it's just a large hole which looks like there's an option to bolt in a universal bracket.

Yeah but you need a space between the mobo and the GPU to hook up the PCIe extension cable. So you can't install it too close to the mobo. It will clash with your water cooling hose as well. It has to be close to the case window.

It seems like you have a space there anyway. Is that metal backing removable? If so, you are good. You just need to buy a vertical mount bracket.

If it's not easily removable I have a cutting wheel and I'm not afraid to use it, again.

you need to buy the bracket so you can plan your cutting wheel action. :giggle: you can't just cut a hole open not knowing what the next step would be.
