Probably because Start11 replaces the native start menu. I don't use it but I surmise Start11 has a setting that the user can set to...

Can you do Win+R -> ms-windows-store: then just pin the window to your task bar that way?

It's more simple than y'all are making it. Find Microsoft Store in all apps list. Right click on it, select more, pin to taskbar.

That worked for now. Let's see if it survives a restart.

I create it with a right click of the desktop shortcut as I can't seem to locate the actual file location - it gives no option for that.

...but the desktop shortcut works fine. Is this something to do with my use of Stardock's Start 11 or a known issue?
