You have to open command prompt as admin, and then run the sfc command.

Firefox browser can be used for text search in pdf. Same is true for any browser. just hit Ctrl+F and enter search phrase

Default rules regarding Navigation pane are simple: Navigation pane opens in the same state as it was in the last document you've closed. If the state is changing, you may be working on the shared document - someone else opened the document, changed the state and closed it. Or the Office...

Well, not really. NET update installed somewhere during the update, but tried to install again.. and failed. So, it's installed, but not ;)
