Yeah, you don't get, that's OK. Given the option is there in the installer, and in the registry, surely there could have been an option in the settings, but like I said, there is no will to implement simple options. In my view, soon we will either have the default look of Win11 or the SAB look...

I know there is an option during install, said it already, but there should be one in the settings, like with any normal software. If one wants to disable updates, it would mean to re-install the software and disable auto-update during install, what kind of convoluted method is that ?

Exactly what I mean, his personal project for himself, too bad about this type of attitude, because the software is awesome otherwise and it could be even better with easily added options. Oh well....

SAB is getting quite weird in my humble opinion. Instead of adding options to appeal to a larger crowd, get more users, is doing the exact opposite, it's getting more niche, like it is custom made for one person who's name I shall not name ;-)

Fair enough, but when it's a paid software, expect the people who paid for using the software to be dissapointed with the choices they do not like. Even worse so when an option can be made, switch on and off, based on user preference.

Yeah, I honestly do not get it, this progress bar stuff, so many people are against it, I have yet to see any opinion in the favor of the old style progress bar, yet ... SAB is getting more and more like a personal project of Tihiy, by Tihiy, for Tihiy.

If people complain about the smallest things, is it not hypocritical of you to be using SAB ? Those small things combined are the difference between W11 native interface and SAB.

With that, neither do I. With the green flood, I kind of do have an issue with, but it's not like a huge deal.

On SAB 3.7 and 3.9 beta, the progress bar is as displayed above. On SAB 3.8 and without SAB, the progress bar would be displayed on the thin bottom line, which is full green in the picture above, and the semi-transparent green flood is not there at all.

Well, on 3.7 the users have not seen the light, YET. But once they see the new look of 3.8, who knows what they think ? I was the same, before seing the slim green bar I did not dislike the flood of green, but now I know better and I have something better (in my opinion, of course) to compare to.

I agree with the first part. As for the making fun, judging from the posts here and on that other place, I think Tihiy is going through something, so I am not quick to judge. Not even sure he is actually making fun of anyone, also, given he is the only developer of SAB and there is no data...
