  1. If Macrium Reflect X is too expensive, what will you switch to?

The upgrade is a "nice to have" but not a "must have". I think you could postpone an upgrade for another year or two before reconsidering. V8 does not lose any of its reliability.
  2. If Macrium Reflect X is too expensive, what will you switch to?

I headed over to the Macrium site for a look. The trade in offer is approx US $56/year (including GST/VAT) for 4 licenses. That's not so bad.
  3. If Macrium Reflect X is too expensive, what will you switch to?

Ok you convinced me. I am sticking with Reflect and will upgrade to 10 shortly. It is the best & of that there is no doubt. PS - I use 3 of 4 family pack licenses.
  4. If Macrium Reflect X is too expensive, what will you switch to?

I've licensed copies of multiple backup/imaging utilities in the past including Shadowprotect, Acronis, EaseUS, Aomei Backupper & O&O DiskImage and I find them pretty good when seen in isolation. But none of them have ticked all the boxes like MR does and Reflect has been my go-to backupper...
  5. If Macrium Reflect X is too expensive, what will you switch to?

I'm staying put with MR v8 but evaluating O&O Diskimage 19.
  6. Password Managers

The dropdown appears in the browser. Just click on the username/password text box and you'll see it. This is what it looks like: Autofill Logins in Browser Extensions Please scroll down and you'll see the section on "Inline autofill menu".
  7. Password Managers

So does Bitwarden actually. It automatically shows a dropdown menu near the username and password fields and then fills in the info should you click on on one of the displayed items. And yes it does prompt the user to save new login information and form filling is possible too. My journey...
  8. Password Managers

Well, this is Bitwarden and my data. 1064 items in total. :) As you can well imagine I cannot do without a PM. I also use 1Password and Dashlane for redundancy.
  9. Password Managers

@antspants try KeepassXC, Enpass, Sticky Password. They all offer offline storage. Sticky password offers syncing to your phone/desktop/laptop over a home LAN or wifi without any data being stored in the cloud.
  10. Password Managers

No, I'm not kidding, 850 different passwords accumalated over 20+ years. Of course the passwords are changed every now and then especially the critical accounts.
  11. Password Managers

I have over 850 passwords + other information stored in a PM and there's no way I'd be able to manage them in an Excel sheet or Word document. You don't want to pay for a PM then go with Bitwarden. It's open source and free. If you could spare $10 that would buy you an annual subscription...
  12. Macrium Reflect v10

So I got this offer from Macrium. With a trade-in of my 4 pack v8 licenses it works out to $56/year including GST/VAT for 4 pack of Reflect X licenses with a permanent (?) 50% discount provided the subscription is renewed each year. This price will not remain static for sure and will be revised...
  13. Macrium Reflect v10

Macrium Reflect has been a part of my daily computing life for over 12 years and it's a bit of a task to evaluate the move to unfamiliar software territory. The peace of mind Reflect offers whilst backing up or restoring data is unparalleled and it has saved my skin several times over the years...
  14. Macrium Reflect v10

As things stand today I am staying with v8 till one day it stops functioning on that yet-to-be-named future version of Windows. Evaluating other backup/imaging software will give me a painful feeling of deja vu. I tried (and paid for) several major backup/imaging solutions before settling on...
  15. If Macrium Reflect X is too expensive, what will you switch to?

Yes of course I'll have to try other solutions too. Cannot be tied down to only Macrium as good as it may be. PS - This is a wakeup call, the 2nd actually, for us loyal Reflect users. I am not happy (a bit pi$$ed off actually) as I slept well because I knew my data was safely backed up and my...
