  1. Hasleo Backup Suite

Thanks for that. Macrium's "Repair Boot Sector" has saved my bacon a few times. And I'm not aware of any other program that has that capability. Consequently I'll be sure to keep both programs on my system from now on.
  2. Hasleo Backup Suite

Since I've not actually used the software yet I can't give you a specific answer. But this is what the Hasleo Tools menu looks like:
  3. Hasleo Backup Suite

I've been using Macrium for years now - I'm currently on ver 8.1.8185 - and I've never had a problem with it. But I tried Hasleo to see how it works in the case something bad happens to Macrium. I was pleased to see it seems to have all the right capabilities, such as being able to mount a...
  4. Solved 24H2 - how to remove the two (un)reclaimable that always show in DISM

Impressive - thanks Bree - this saved me about 550 MB on my boot drive. All the commands ran OK with no problems.
  5. Microsoft is shutting down Skype in May 2025

Have used Skype for years. Have never used Teams. Does Teams actually work?
  6. Are this many devices normal?

Thanks for that - I've tried the Quote function in a couple of other boards that use this same software, but it never worked. So I just gave up on it. But it works A-OK here, so I'll do that from now on.
  7. Are this many devices normal?

Thanks for pointing that out - I've not tried that before. The answer is yes, I've changed trackballs a couple of times. So when I enabled hidden devices 2 new trackball items appeared, and one of them had a tiny question mark next to it. So I deleted it, restarted, and it came back - still with...
  8. Are this many devices normal?

Well, very interesting and illuminating feedback - thanks to everyone. I guess i shouldn't feel like my system is wacked. A couple of questions/feedbacks: dacrone: fix what exactly? You listed 4 devices, but what about them? My guess is if I deleted them and then do a refresh they will just...
  9. Are this many devices normal?

My current-level Win11 system has been continuously upgraded starting with Windows 7. I have not done a clean Windows install since the cows came home, primarily because I remember how long it took me to get everything properly reconfigured after a Win 7 clean install. Now my Device Manager...
  10. 4.81 GB for Intel Network drivers?

Well, this was an interesting one. I did manage to delete "Intel Network Connection Drivers", but it wasn't exactly easy to do. I did download the new set of network drivers from the file mentioned by Rollback_Jockey. And that did install one driver module from an INF file. But doing this was...
  11. 4.81 GB for Intel Network drivers?

Looks good - thanks. I'll try that right after my next Macrium backup. (But assuming it does work OK I'll have to make another backup to save even more space on my backup disk.)
  12. 4.81 GB for Intel Network drivers?

My PC has One Intel 1219-V Ethernet device on it's ASUS B660-M motherboard. But my boot drive has 4.81 GB of space devoted to "Intel Network Connection Drivers". The latest download of Intel network drivers (from the Sticky list above) says it is for a whole bunch of different driver models, one...
  13. Do you use any software updater programs?

I've tried several different ones. Was using UniGet for a while, but for some reason it just stopped working and would not find anything to update. Switched to PatchMyPC and been happy ever since.
  14. Manual install 24H2 - only 1 odd problem so far

Well...I forgot something. Awhile ago I did an in-place update and had no problems, except after doing the update booting failed because the BCD file was messed up. So I had to runt the Macrium "FIx boot problem" routine to fix that. But I had forgotten that last part - and just had to do it...
  15. Manual install 24H2 - only 1 odd problem so far

My 23H2 system never got 24H2 via standard Windows update, even though I've got the "Get updates as soon as possible" option enabled. So I decided to install 24H2 myself, and did that by picking Option 1 from this web page: Download Windows 11. I expected to have some problems because my system...
