I have Mint on couple of USBs loaded with utilities but never tried any backups from it. It's much easier and faster from Windows directly, it's on 24/7

MR's worst fault is it's subscription payment model. I and I believe most in the world have no way of paying for it directly or it could cost way more to pay for it thru other channels. Even this v8.0 one time license was bought for me by a friend in Windows 10 forums. If they were not so...

It's still behind in few of features, Automatic backups scheduling, merging of backups (slow) and automatic updates. I'm using only manual mode in Windows insider.
