Looks like it is indeed getting something like "cannot find the Outlook data file."

This is what I get when I send/receive: There's also a little Send/Receive Error" warning at the lower right corner of the main Outlook screen

Dear Mama Glass, I would like to stop synching my PST file with Onedrive. For the rest of the files, it's occasionally convenient. Is it possible to stop synching just that one file? I think I already mentioned that my PST is set up using POP-SMTP. Thanks! Dave

BTW, in my outlook Account Info, it just says (my email)at earthlink.net, then POP/SMTP

Onedrive is handy, unless it keeps me from running old-style Outlook with a PST file. I get Outlook by going to Costco once every 15 months. If I pay for a 12 month license, they give me 15 months worth. My Outlook is set up as POP/SMTP. Is the Earthlink one set up the same way?

That's been my guess, too. But I haven't seen able to figure out how to fix it.

Did I say this already once? The problem is that I can't receive or send new email. Old email is still there to view, and the calendar still works.

I have had so many Outlook problems I'm embarrassed to ask about another one. I have been using Earthlink webmail while my Outlook is bad. It's not a great solution. In my Outlook I had built some scripts to send spam and other less important emails to places where I could attend to them as time...

I got the new C: drive installed and everything loaded. I was clever enough to put the PST where Outlook would be looking, and I managed to avoid the default IMAP connection. They are really pushing IMAP, so (as anyone who does this often would know) you really have to be careful to go back and...

Just a quick update: I got everything to work and imported the PST successfully. I decided while I was messing around, I should install windows on a new, bigger C: drive. I bought this one Amazon.com I'm about to type "format c:" on the old one, which is a bit scary.

I wasn't feeling up to it yesterday. I'm just now getting started.

I'm going to take a crack at it in the next couple hours. If I have problems, I'll let you know.
