Unfortunately Microsoft seems to link accessibility (e.g, increase mouse cursor size) to the ability to use desktop background colors. I see a message "your background theme is restricted by your accessibility settings or words to that effect. Is there any way to unlink personalization settings...
I've been looking at these - could you please provide the model number (or link or a good ID number). This is exactly the mini that I want. Could you describe the rest of your system (monitor/keyboard, etc)?

Thanks much. The Surface Go didn't have "Hibernate after" enabled but thanks to your suggestion it does now. As I usually turn on airplane mode overnite, I don't expect too bad a battery hit - I'll post back after a day or two of "pure" sleep.
Win 11 Home on Surface Go2. After a few hours of sleep (usually 2-3) I find that in order to start my laptop, I can only use the physical on button. Cannot start with attached keboard no matter which key combo I try. Is there any way to prevent Win 11 from shutting down?
So I took the "cowards way out". Deleted everything Mozilla with Revo Uninstaller Pro and then everything Mozilla in the registry. Reinstalled Firefox (this time the newest version from Mozilla)
and problem is solved.
I have neither - I just use Windows Defender for security with an occasional run from the free Malwarebytes. None the less, thanks for the advice - I'll try it out and report back
This started showing up when I upgraded to Win 11. It's on my personal laptop at home - using Firefox 94
and I cannot update?? There are old threads relating to the registry and policies and how to delete this but
none pertaining to Win 11 Home. Further, there is no Firefox entry under...
Not sure I understand - do I run the first command (wsl --install) then the second (wsl --set-default-version 2) or just the second? And, I asked about Mint specifically because I run it on other machines.
