  1. Window 11 resolution changes

Before any problems, "Display 1 HMDI Splitter" always read, "Google TV".... and "Generic Monitor HMDI Splitter" always read "Google TV". How do I change it back to "Google TV"... as I fear this may be the cause of my splitter not working correctly... (At the very least, I can rule it out as a...
  2. Window 11 resolution changes

Actually the splitter isn't working at the moment, and I'm thinking if this AMD driver not being updated/and Windows changing it, that is the cause. I trying to get Windows to read the display as my Google TV rather than the HMDI Splitter. (From memory that what my display was before the...

  5. Window 11 resolution changes

I've updated everything... but still, the recommended resolution is 3840x2160... and the side are still cropped at the sides of screen when I choose 3840x2160. Is there something else I need to do to get it to "activate"?
  6. Window 11 resolution changes

I will try this suggestion first... thanks. It makes most sense to what I've been seeing the last year or 2. Things changing on your setup without you doing something is always a sign something is wrong.
  7. Window 11 resolution changes

Hi, every few weeks/months, intermittingly, in my Windows settings, display, etc... The recommended resolution changes of it's own accord. Sometimes it recommends 4096X2160... then other times it recommends 3840X 2160. Normally when it recommends 3840X 2160, (and I selected it) it will crop...
  8. Verify you have access to the directory and permission to run this application

"Did you try the instructions that @glasskuter posted in post #25? You need to use the sldIM\sldIM.exe file. "... I'll definitely try that after work... but I am resigning myself to them being corrupted like the thinks.
  9. Verify you have access to the directory and permission to run this application

"your security program could be blocking it"... Where would I attempt to unblock it?
  10. Verify you have access to the directory and permission to run this application

I just tried this and got the same problem... I think it's time to accept defeat.
  11. Verify you have access to the directory and permission to run this application

"Are these legitimately owned softwares?" During covid my cousin gave me these, he's a "computer" guy. He installed them remotely during covid for me. The office version has "genuine" wrote on it... so I just assumed they where genuine. Like I said they did install before on this PC but now...
  12. Verify you have access to the directory and permission to run this application

On the screenshot, the J drive has "DVD drive (J:)Solidworks1" wrote beside it. That is what I meant. Is that something else? Sorry.
  13. Verify you have access to the directory and permission to run this application

Thank you... I hadn't the words or knowledge to ask for this.
  14. Verify you have access to the directory and permission to run this application

Sorry folks, I was away with family things... Can I just say, my files are not on a DVD, they are digital files... I will attach a screen saver of the "This PC" part of my PC. I hope that can tell more educated people what might be going on. When I try an install a program it comes up as a DVD...
  15. Verify you have access to the directory and permission to run this application

Before I do any of that. I just tired to install the program on another PC with a Local Account as administrator.... With the same results as before. What are all the possibilities of what that telling us. All the files got corrupted some how?
