Like you, I don't deliberately store any personal files on any partition on my "system drive".
I very rarely install new programs on C. Most of my software is antique versions that work well.
Any growth in the occupied space on my C partition is almost entirely due to the whims and wishes of...
When did you last run Disk Cleanup to include system files?
The occupied space on my C drive can easily vary by 6 or 8 GB (upper 40s to mid 50s, per File Explorer) for no obvious reason...day by day.
You can use Macrium Reflect to back up "everything", including both system and data files. Many do that.
Or you can use separate applications....perhaps Macrium for system files and something like Free File Sync or Sync Back Free for data files.
I prefer the second method, mostly because the...
I'd at least go to a Microcenter to see what they have in stock and maybe for a talk. They may not have a 6 NVME board on the shelves? I think you can examine the stock online for any location near you. I don't think they do mail order on systems.
They have limited locations. Very few in the...
Do you insist on a lot of control over the individual parts...brand name, model numbers, etc?
"Reliability" is more of a crap shoot than you'd like, regardless of the "assembler".
Microcenter comes to mind. You get to choose from a fairly large stock of parts. I haven't heard of issues with...
In your first post, you say "I see no way to select the image to try to restore with."
Above you say "I don't have any".
To confirm: you do NOT have an image? Correct?
If you DO have an image, the first place to investigate is the "restore" tab
My experience, considering you say you don't print much:
Cheap Brother laser black and white printer purchased in 2006; cost then about 70. I don't know what a similar cheap Brother laser would cost today.
It came with what I think is the standard "starter" toner package; less capacity than...
You can.........BUT................Historically, McAfee has been notoriously difficult to uninstall.
I don't know if that is still true. At one time, there was an online tool designed specifically to uninstall it. Revo may have no problems with it. Have not checked.
I haven't had any personal...
You can't know if a restore will succeed until you try it.
Macrium success rate probably in the high 90s percentage.
Backing up to an external will be slower than my experience. I back up to internal SSD in 4 minutes.
It might relieve your anxiety a bit if you can actually do a restore to a...
I back up a C of about 50 GB on a semi-antique CPU (6600K). Takes 4 minutes and change when saved onto an ordinary NVME SSD. Including verification which takes maybe 15 seconds. I treat the image file (.mrimg extension) as valuable data, so it is backed up to another drive just like all other...
For 60 GB, a Macrium "full" image shouldn't take over 4 or 5 minutes to save onto an SSD. Maybe less if you have a strong CPU. Restoration more than that but not long at all.
File size will probably be between 30 and 40 GB.
Be sure to examine the specifications of any external enclosure you buy. Some have limitations on the maximum capacity of the drive you will put inside it. Mine is limited to 2 TB, while the NVME drive in it is only 500 GB, so no problem. They are very handy and you can regard them as a fast and...
That is what I said.
Here is what you said:
"There is no way you can reinstall Windows in less time than you can restore a Macrium Image!"
I may well be confused by the meanings of "less" and "more". And of course I'm told that "very little" has its nuances.
