    I do have Win7. I recently threw out (or donated for repurposing) win98 CDs. That File Manager is definitely Classic esp with file cabinet icon. Installed and uninstalled :)

    1) Can I go back to win 3.1 and dos?? Before my SSD failed last month, I had no issues with W11 well except file manager and it's worse now! Those issues are for another post some day. I just deal but it's fkn aggravating!!! TY again for all your much appreciated help.

    NAH, I'm good. I was using a pw for 4 years I'll go back using one. Hopefully I'll figure out how to use the old one :) My networked and on the cloud work (only Fridays) computer asks me to change the pw every 6 wks, I use the same one. FKn annoying

    I did try "password" as password with many others :) When I used the command you mention above (which I think was last night), I'm pretty sure I was not using "run as admin". I'm using my tablet now so I have a real keyboard and bigger screen :O

    I was able to use the commands after I right clicked on Cmd prompt "run as admin". Am I not the Admin? How would I log into Admin account?. Earlier, after I woke laptop, I was told to change my password so I left it blank.

    I type in CMD in search. This time I right clicked and then run as admin. I just assume I AM the admin, guess not. The commands dacrone worked. Earlier today, when I woke my laptop I got "please change your password"!! I left it blank.
