  1. Solved slow computer boot up

They should teach these in school! 😁
  2. My domain host's server is blocking my IP address every few days

Oh btw, these devices all have 1 more thing in common, the router. Though I have never heard of a router interfering in such a way. Prolly the dumbest idea lol
  3. My domain host's server is blocking my IP address every few days

Well, as far as I get it there are 2 issues. 1) Which device 2) Why The "why" part as I said is out of my expertise. I was thinking VPN would force 1 device to use a different IP and hence show up in the logs from host. Switching off WiFi on both phones (if possible, no idea of daily usage)...
  4. My domain host's server is blocking my IP address every few days

Or disconnect the phones from home network if data plan is adequate perhaps? Anyway, as I said just a thought. I would not know how to tackle this even if I did know the offending one. :)
  5. Solved slow computer boot up

That and CBM could not upgrade them fast enough due to architecture. My 34 year old A500 is still alive and kicking. Anyway, I don't want to derail the thread, so will shut up now! :-)
  6. Solved slow computer boot up

I remember fixing a dead pixel (can't remember the color though, it was 10+ years ago) by gently pushing with the eraser some pencils have at the end :D Valorant anti-cheat has kernel level access if that would make a difference. Maybe check various logs and contact them. There may be people...
  7. Now that’s efficient storage…

According to the answer here, less than 1KB. As I understand that 18 bytes is still 18 bytes but total with what they call bookkeeping it is less than 1KB. The comments to the answer detail some more. How can a file's size on disk be 0 bytes when there's data in it?
  8. My domain host's server is blocking my IP address every few days

Sorry if this is a dumb idea but reading the thread made wonder if using a VPN one at a time on each device help pinpoint the faulting device at least?
  9. Software Raid0 SATA SSDs

The author of that reddit post seems to have found the answer on MS site. Storage Spaces - trying to create a Raid 0 with Powershell Here are the exact steps: I checked using fsutil and both NTFS and ReFS trim is enabled but I am not sure if that is enough to conclude that it is indeed...
  10. Software Raid0 SATA SSDs

Looks like Disk Management striped volumes won't work but I am reading Storage Spaces does support TRIM. Found this post on reddit.
  11. Software Raid0 SATA SSDs

Hey Senecio, I am aware of everything you mention. I got external backups. Speed is secondary than to have them show as a single unit anyway. What I really wonder is "TRIM and garbage collection". Back in 2014 iirc these were problematic and we did not advice for in sevenforums. We even used...
  12. Software Raid0 SATA SSDs

My knowledge about RAID with SSDs is quite dated, something like 2014. I guess TRIM and garbage collection is not an issue these days for SSDs in RAID 0? I will use Disk Management striped volumes. I plan to Raid0 2 x SSD 3 SSDs to replace my current 4 x WD Black spinners. They are quite old...
  13. Solved Swap OS Installations Around (Dual Boot Win11 Pro)

So, mission accomplished! Thanks to SIW2's help offered in Cloning and backup question(s) thread and Chatgpt I could easily manage what I wanted to. Steps were: 1. Clone 2 to 1 2. Set boot drive to 2 in BIOS. EFI was still pointing to 1. 3. Set {bootmgr} to EFI on 2. At this stage (in...
  14. Solved Swap OS Installations Around (Dual Boot Win11 Pro)

Hey guys, I am not sure if the title is clear enough and hope this is the correct section to post. Here is the current situation: Daily Win11 Pro installed on M2_1 (top M2 slot) and 2nd Win11 Pro installed on SATA SSD. I would like to move my daily OS to a new M2 drive which is installed in...
  15. Using a Single USB for Windows and Linux Mint: Is it Possible?

Sorry for that and thanks for the correction. I reported myself so it can be changed to xyz.
