Ok @antspants, I can get that done. It's just I'm packing to move to another State, plus a puppy I'm training :) I did the quick fix which is to "shutdown" my laptop. Then when I lift the lid I just push the "power" button and it boots up bypassing all the login junk. I'll do that for now...

This is the Win11 that came on the HP. I've tried this, over and over again. I now cannot get to the sign in screen because I bypassed that screen when I first got this laptop. I can't login to another account, like I was sent to log into Microsoft account, I think, I am getting so confused...

This is getting ugly, I need my password which I forgot, and the only info I can find on "how do I find a lost password in Win 11" is to reset my laptop which will keep personal files, but no apps. This is ridiculous because for some reason, my laptop just stopped going straight into my desktop...

..this just happened yesterday and to get it to login bypassing all and go straight to my desktop, I have to restart the laptop because it stops on login password. I am running 22H2 22621. 1555 on an HP Laptop. I tried all the online fixes I could find going through Settings, accounts, sign in...

I just found this today and did it. I like this idea because if the MS's search box isn't there, I'm not tempted to use it, and that's the most aggravating when I try to open anything (that's not on my PC already) in it's results, blam, there's Edge.

I don't like having a search brought up in another browser when I have Firefox as my default, that's my real problem with Edge. I have Firefox as my default, but that search area in start menu still uses edge. I'm glad you are set up though, but I don't think you meant just setting Firefox as...

Thanks @Josey Wales, do you have info on the MSEdgeRedirect I'm using? As I mentioned above in #8 reply, it seems to be doing the same job as it did in 10. Btw, I don't use the things you mentioned either, don't need them.

That's exactly what I want to avoid. Haven't got a diagnosis on my PC that crashed yet, but I don't care to have that happen again so I am being super careful ;)
