So, quick update:
Managed to resize and clone, but wasn't able to boot from the cloned drive. Retried with Macrium, same problem. After much research I've managed to fix it. Seems there was an issue with the Master Boot Record (MBR) on the clone-drive.
For anyone with the same issue trying...
Seems to be fixed, was able to resize the partition on the target drive. Small issue with not being able to hide the 16mb windows reserves on the drive, but i'll fix that after migration/frying of target drive. Thanks for the help!
I'm not sure I want to re-format my C:/ partition containing my OS haha!
Or did you mean I should assign the destination drive do have a partition name thru 'create simple volume' in diskmgmt?
Would having my OS on a partition with a different path than C:/ not cause problems with Windows?
Hi there, I am trying to upgrade my laptop SSD, for which I'd like to copy my OS to the new drive using MiniTool Partition Wizard version 10. I would like to resize the OS partition to just 300gb (instead of 475 on current drive). It won't let me resize the partition in the destination drive...
