  1. Accounts Update Security Questions for Local Account in Windows 11

Password recovery disk option is gone? Can't I switch to that other solution after I already set the SQ?
  2. Accounts Update Security Questions for Local Account in Windows 11

In this article (for Win10) it is said answers are saved in clear: Perché le domande di sicurezza di Windows 11 NON sono sicure | IlSoftware.it Is it still the same under Win11? Can't them be disabled? Or is it possible to switch to recovery password disk?
  3. Custom Icons for Windows 11 Thread (Folders, Dropbox, Google Drive, Podcasts, NVME Drive, Steam, Adobe)

Redone PCEngine emu icon, now using mini-logo when <=32px (again I have no SVG since I started from bitmap images, not vectorial. Please, PM me if you know a good method to convert to vector drawn starting from raster/bitmap): pc_engine_08.ico
  4. Custom Icons for Windows 11 Thread (Folders, Dropbox, Google Drive, Podcasts, NVME Drive, Steam, Adobe)

I'm afraid I don't have them anymore. As bitmap icons in the final ico format (Windows) I didn't keep the SVG (I used Affinity Photo and Greenfish Icon Editor).
  5. File Explorer ignoring UNBLOCKED file status with 24H2

    explorer.exe 26100.3194, still unfixed
  6. Custom Icons for Windows 11 Thread (Folders, Dropbox, Google Drive, Podcasts, NVME Drive, Steam, Adobe)

Feel free to include my Retro Emulators collection at Custom Icons for Windows 11 Thread (Folders, Dropbox, Google Drive, Podcasts, NVME Drive, Steam, Adobe) if you like them
  7. Multiple Watchdog error logs on Resume from Sleep/Hibernation after 24H2

... if you look at the DMP files created Windows saved them as \WATCHDOG\WATCHDOG.x.x.dmp though... Another DMP file refers to USB-C Thunderbolt port I mentioned (e.g. ...LiveKernelReports\UcmUcsiCx.sys\UcmUcsiCx.sys-20250110-1426.dmp) and one to NDIS...
  8. Multiple Watchdog error logs on Resume from Sleep/Hibernation after 24H2

I have latest updates installed for 24H2, including this: January 28, 2025—KB5050094 (OS Build 26100.3037) Preview (24H2) ... but I suppose my system didn't win the lottery ("will roll out gradually"), if this is my same case.
  9. Multiple Watchdog error logs on Resume from Sleep/Hibernation after 24H2

Looking at my Event Viewer I found many Watchdog errors 1001, LiveKernelEvent when I resume from Sleep/Hibernation on my laptop ASUS ROG G834JY (2023). I can't remember them when I was with 23H2 'til Dec 2024 and started with 24H2. They don't cause me BSODs or any serious problem and are just...
  10. File Explorer ignoring UNBLOCKED file status with 24H2

Just for the chronicles, the bug is still there after KB5050094
  11. Solved 24H2 external screen not detected anymore

So I found in Device Manager the yellow triangle for: UCM-UCSI ACPI (Error 43 ) + Intel(R) PC Express Root Port #25 - 7A48 + Intel(R) PC Express Root Port #9 - 7A30. Didn't go away with Shutdown or disable/re-enable/uninstall from Device Manager. I unplugged AC and shutdown Windows 11 kept...
  12. Solved 24H2 external screen not detected anymore

ASUS SCAR 18 (2023) BIOS 331 with 4090 laptop and external monitor connected with Thunderbolt (DP1.4). External screen is simply not detected (no signal) anymore after 24H2 update. Was working fine with 23H2. It seems a common issue: How to fix 2nd display not working after 24H2 update...
  13. Solved Settings App - Crash - Graphics Settings

Of course no. Will do just what I've said: it's the same as removing an app from the list of promoted iGPU/dGPU apps from Settings ... Graphics, but you do it from the registry. Won't touch AC at all and won't prevent it from running as usual. It's just Windows Settings that can go crazy if you...
  14. Solved Settings App - Crash - Graphics Settings

Don't need to uninstall Armoury Crate and ASUS Framework: just delete that key value in the registry. That key contains the list of all promoted iGPU/dGPU apps (even though I'm not sure "asus_framework.exe" was visible in the UI among listed apps). In short: Win11 24H2's Settings ... Graphics...
