Dear Bree
Would kindly confirm:
I have compared all the three .bmp files bit by bit, using cmd fc /b.
All the three .bmp files are identicial:
Paint 11.2311.30.0 - latest Paint version - with layers
Paint 11.2201.22.0 - Paint version without layers
Paint 10.2104.17.0 - first Paint version -...
Could below be achieved, or something similar without using the firmware?
- The installed hardware part would need to transmit and receive a given signal, for the hacker to be able to use it
- The hardware part would have to be installed somewhere in the mouse
- The hardware part would have to...
Again:
Through good argumentation, I just want to make sure, that it can't happen to me / highly unlikely.
Why it would be difficult to do?
Would it be expensive?
Would it require special obtained skills?
I am not any high profile of the sorts. I just wants to make sure, that my backed up data...
You were previous helpful regarding my questions, and I hope you will contribute further. Thank you
So if McAfee LiveSafe was installed as part of the pre-bundle:
It would have the most recent security signatures from when it was installed?
It would be active during OOBE / first time setting up...
But what you desribe are big things, like an ON / OFF switch or.
The processes inside a computer with bits all over the place in CPU, GPU, memory, flash drive etc. - that is millions of 1 and 0 / + and - / ON and OFF per second.
And that is was makes it hard for me to understand, that it can be...
I know I have asked the same question on other forums, if that is what you are implying?
In all of this, what do you think / support?
Or do you have other theories / suggestions?
Thank you
I am intererested in all of this, to make sure, that all the devices and "ghost" devices are from before I received the laptop and turned it on for the first time OOBE.
Is there no internal function, log etc. in Windows, that can show something similar/the same? The installation date of the "device"?
So if a virtual device is suddenly used, then it can switch from "ghost" to active and enabled?
What could trigger this effect?
I agree
But in regard of the described proces / "I just want to make sure, that my system is clean in regard of my scenario:"
Do you believe its clean from malware?
Thank you
An update / more info:
In Device Manager there is a McAfeeSwitch with McAfee integration driverdevice - with and arrow down icon (disabled)
Does this mean, that some McAfee software has been fully installed on the laptop at some point?
Or what does this mean?
The first time I used the laptop...
Why would it require a malicious code / malware to work?
- The installed hardware part inside the mouse transmits and receives data to the hacker
- The hardware part works together with the firmware of the mouse
- The hardware part use the mouse cord for connection to the system
I am not...
Do you have any examples?
Are we talking hackers like NSA-level?
What would it require?
- The installed hardware part would need to transmit and receive a given signal, for the hacker to be able to use it
- The hardware part would have to be installed somewhere in the mouse
- The hardware...
