I disconnected my ext drive. and unplugged it. so far I have not experienced the problem. This computer is a mini. I had the ext drive plugged in to the front of it. Since I ran out of USB ports I plugged a USB dongle to the back USB port and run the mice and the drive from there. So far...

That was done with no improvement except that when I used the tracball it was a bit worse. I deleted the Logitech stuff and no relief.

Seems that the culprit was KB5036620 which I loaded on the 23rd. It is now uninstalled. spoke too soon problem is still there but way not as bad I will keep digging
