The MS rep couldn't give a timeline on when the new tool would be active or available, nor when the wushowhide.diagcab will stop working (if it does, it may simply work but be unsupported). As soon as it is unsupported and ceases to work, that's when I'll look at alternatives.
More worryingly...
wushowhide.diagcab is deprecated. W11 does not have the replacement troubleshooter in the public channel (IDK if it is in another ring).
I use the above file as a workaround as I too have had the same issue as @d1ggo_ , since approximately the same time.

Okay. USB-C is either way, right? Wrong. The cable is, but the port isn't.
I always put the adapter in a certain orientation (logo up to me, the other direction doesn't have a logo). Out of pure luck, I put it in the "wrong" way. The important distinction is that the D+ and D- are only on one...
Hi
I wonder if anyone is having similar issues to me and can shed any light?
I have a full fibre connection (capped at 100Mbps download and 30Mbps upload).
I have a laptop (ASUS Vivobook S513EA) running W11 24H2. I get the capped rate (100/30) of the connection over wireless (Intel AX201...
Haven't unwound the patch, but full Geek uninstall and reinstall. Was trying to burn audio CD and explorer view would not load. Seemed to load okay on Data CD but hadn't anything to burn. Downloaded alternate burning program (AnyBurn) that worked.
Anyone else? Last Audio CD burn was probably...
I get the overriding impression a discussion isn't really needed. Notepad (and ++) users are coming from a different angle than users of WordPad (as a Word lite). Browser based tools are how it's going (G and 365), the way MS are headed with this OS, I can see "Windowsbook" as the ultimate...
How often does one hash check an ISO? It's like looking for problems. If there's a problem, rule it out. Don't always rule something in, there's no real need?
Haven't felt the need to hash check an ISO since longer than I care to remember. Modern browsers handle file transfers pretty well...
I did benchmarks before and after with HVCI/uCode basically any kind of security enhancements and found all benchmarks within margins of error. YMMV based on actual CPU and particular / specific games. But I went Intel (4th Gen i7) to AMD (Zen+/2/3). I don't have a huge range of games either.
Think it's Zen 3 in AMD. My other (AMD) system had the same 'issue', the Update Stack Service package wasn't listed as installed, so I'm still thinking it's a Defender update that's triggered it. Both systems had that. KB5007651, listed as a Definition Update.
My Windows 10 system 7th Gen and...
Unsure. But I did read that updates to Chromium engined browsers had this particular feature enabled since May 21 (version 90 upwards) I would think Google Chrome SafeSearch would be an independent setting? "Locked by another person" might indicate a security / system policy level change...
I had this too. Can only assume the Defender update did it. The Update Stack Packages have been occuring since March with the changes being made to Windows Update without this specific issue, although the last Cumulative (March) triggered the LSASS 'issue'. I hacked that with a registry change...
I took the plunge. It looks to be still on. Looking at it, there are possible causes, such as driver updates (I can see none in WU) and I don't believe I've installed anything direct from ASUS (they seem to not be updating much on this 11th Gen).
Only other possibility is the Microsoft...
