  1. Best way to copy 20TB of data from a number of drives and consolidate them on one

I have 5 USB 3 WD Elements external HDD's and I want to consolidate them all on a WD 22TB Elements external. This is obviously a massive data transfer and will probably run for a week or more. I want to do it with maximum efficiency and minimal wear and tear on the pc (laptop). Maybe done from a...
  2. Using Gadget Pack on Windows 11

I had the same issue - won't load or loads then closes. Turned out to be the ALL CPU app - the sort of app that needs to be VERY well designed to interact with the CPU these days or you'll get weird issues like black screens or BSODs.. Simple test - disable all the gadgets that load except for...

    1. Whatever file BD picked up perhaps ? Doesn't BD even tell you the filename? Of course it does! So...... 2. Since it started with a FP, it's a logical starting point. No mention by OP of a boot issue..... 3. Good. 4. Not an answer and I made no claim as to the internet being useless...

Have you fully disabled BD before trying to change the drive status? 3. Is the disk an SSD? Failing SSD's can set...
  6. Vivaldi browser not opening some links on websites

I solved this myself so am posting for the benefit of others. I found that with a particular news aggregator site, none of the main story external links would work. Mousing over them showed the URL but nothing happened when clicking. Other internal links on the site worked fine...

Yes but we had Win 7 and decent pc's back then ! Sad - I will probably have to GIVE AWAY my 12 year old Toshiba P870 17.3" laptop. Can't even sell it for $100 these days...

  9. "Free" software

If it's worth having and affordable then buy it - Macrium saved my a$$ as few times, so well worth the purchase price. Subscriptions that remove core functionality, aahh no - I'll switch. There are a lot of good apps that are 100 free but you may get watermarks or nags, but do all you want...
