Hi, What file types may one add to the new favourites list? It does not seem possible to add a shorcut. Even though the shortcut in question shows "Add to Favourites" in the context menu when I right click on it, it never appears under Favourites.

In Windows 11 22H2 File Explorer under "Home" I used to see headings "Quick Access" and "Favourites" with my various items listed under those headings. The same as shown in your screenshots above. Is there any way to change to Taskbar behaviour so that double-click opens an application from there? I find it a severe irritation that double-click seems to work everywhere but the Taskbar! I am forever double-clicking items on the Taskbar and opening two instances of some applications.

Problem solved. Acting upon the advice received, assigning a drive letter beyond C was the cure. I had thought that by now, A and B drives would work just like others but I was clearly incorrect in this assumption.

Unfortunately that's exactly what doesn't work! Curiously, searchng the network share does work even though that is in effect looking at the exact same files.
