  1. For all the people who believe aditional Antivirus software, is not necessary..

It doesn't prove that. You don't know if these computers only had Windows Defender. Out of 4200 computers, it's more than likely that some also had a third-party AV. I get a lot of co-workers asking me what would be a good AV to install because their existing third-party AV is about to or has...
  2. For all the people who believe aditional Antivirus software, is not necessary..

This doesn't prove that the only AV on all these devices was Windows Defender. This kind of thing can happen with any AV.
  3. Windows Spotlight

The "Suggestions, etc.", can be toggled. I have mine turned off. The only thing it does is change the wallpaper once a day. A lot of the images are nice.
  4. Windows Spotlight

What command are you using to reset and re-register the MicrosoftWindows.Client.CBS package?
  5. Windows Spotlight

Ahh... then perhaps mine will get stuck again also. Can we reset and re-register the MicrosoftWindows.Client.CBS package?
  6. Personalization Reset and Re-register Windows Spotlight in Windows 11

I "believe" it is only created after you turn on Spotlight for the desktop background. The first image is displayed and after the first image rotates to the second image, that folder is created with the images inside. Have you been using Spotlight for the desktop image?
  7. Personalization Reset and Re-register Windows Spotlight in Windows 11

Not in my case, I have been stuck on that one image for a week or more.
  8. Windows Spotlight

The images for Spotlight wallpaper are stored in... %LocalAppData%\Packages\MicrosoftWindows.Client.CBS_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalCache\Microsoft\IrisService
  9. Personalization Reset and Re-register Windows Spotlight in Windows 11

@Brink , I use Spotlight for my desktop only. This script didn't help. For the desktop Spotlight, the images are stored in... %LocalAppData%\Packages\MicrosoftWindows.Client.CBS_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalCache\Microsoft\IrisService I deleted everything in IrisService while my desktop was set to...
  10. Windows Spotlight

Well, I got my Spotlight working again. I only use it for the desktop wallpaper. In my user profile, I went to... %LocalAppData%\Packages\MicrosoftWindows.Client.CBS_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalCache\Microsoft\IrisService and I deleted everything in there. The image that was showing on my desktop...
  11. Windows Spotlight

I recently upgraded to 24H2, and my Spotlight stopped working also. I think it worked for a few days after the update before it stopped. I tried running Brink's script to repair and re-register but that didn't help. I didn't see "go to next image" in the right-click menu. I thought that was...
  12. Windows Update Issue - "Error Encountered - We couldn't connect to the update service"

Just a quick update... I downloaded a more recent version of 23H2 from the volume licensing center. It was modified just a couple weeks back. This one has been resolving the issue for now. I wonder if there was just an expired Cert that needed to be replaced. I don't know which one to...
  13. Windows Update Issue - "Error Encountered - We couldn't connect to the update service"

Oh wait, this option, Option 2, is just upgrading the version to 23H2. I already upgraded to 23H2 on one of these PCs using an ISO and although the PC was upgraded to 22H3, the Windows Update problem still exists. It just ran as an upgrade and didn't mention that it is doing a repair. Even on...
  14. Windows Update Issue - "Error Encountered - We couldn't connect to the update service"

I don't want to put 24H2 on these business devices yet. Where can I get the 23H2 ISO?
  15. Windows Update Issue - "Error Encountered - We couldn't connect to the update service"

Well, option 1 from this tutorial is out because the button to Fix Problems Using Windows Update is greyed-out. Option 2 just failed because "Setup has failed to validate the product key." I was trying the install of 22H2 that I have on my USB. I'll try to find another install source.
