I use either DisplayFusion: DisplayFusion: Multiple Monitors Made Easy by Binary Fortress Software or zMover: ZMover - Arrange desktop windows and icons | Basta to force different window sizes and positions. DF is more feature rich where zMover is more simplistic but both get the job done.
