I've always used File Explorer, select drive, right click, Properties. In General tab type here what you want the label to be, click Apply.

My Intel board was set to VMD by default but can be disabled.

VMD (volume management device) is the new RAID. Disabling VMD sets the computer to AHCI, although it won't tell you so.

What seems to be the problem? My computer can play MIDI files just fine with Windows Media Player Legacy.
