    Hi bobkn, I don't split the install.wim file for a USB installer. Instead I split the USB drive into two partitions; format 1 as FAT32 and the second as NTFS. I then save the sources file (with the install.wim file) to the second (NTFS) partition and the rest goes on to the FAT32 partition...

    Just throwing this out there, but have you tried to make the SSD bootable with the command, "C:\Windows\System32\bcdboot C:\Windows?" I may not know what I'm talking about so just ignore me if I am way off. Kind regards, tecknot
