  1. Start Menu (Windows 11 home v. 24H2 26100.4064)

That screenshot you posted doesn't look like Windows 11. it's more like Windows 10. Unless Windows 11 Home version is different, I've only ever used Pro.
  2. What happens if I don't install KB5058411

When I had an issue with another Windows Update failing I found turning my Antivirus off temporarily (Eset Nod32 in my case) fixed the issue.
  3. Solved Cannot uninstall Outbyte Driver Updater

You could try using ccleaner or other tools to see if it finds where the uninstaller is. It should be listed in Settings/Apps/Installed Apps. Right click to find the uninstall option.
  4. Leftovers from previous Windows

Does Microsoft intend updating the leftovers from previous versions of Windows in Windows 11? I mean, when you right click on the recycle bin and pick empty, you get a non-themed (I use Dark Theme) pop up with tiny text which is hard to read on my 4K monitor. I appreciate things like Disk...
  5. Solved FIXED: KB5007651 constantly showing in Windows Update

I've finally fixed the issue where every time I check for Windows Updates, "Update for Windows Security platform - KB5007651 (Version 10.0.27777.1008)" shows up constantly. It says it installs and completed, but the next time I check for Windows Updates, it's back. I know a lot of people have...
  6. KB5007651 update

I've finally fixed the issue. I use Eset NOD32 antivirus software (AV). After reading a post from Google from a chap with a different AV, he uninstalled his AV and it fixed the reinstalling issue. So, I paused my NOD32 and the update said complete and it has not returned. It looks like AV was...
  7. Defrag.exe

Have you clicked on optimise? You can see it doing TRIM if it is working. Highlight the drive you want to optimise.
  8. KB5007651 update

Just a final note, I did an in-place install of Windows 11 24H2 (keeping my files and programs) and you know what... It still keeps popping up every time I check for Windows Update. I shall stop beating myself up and wearing out my NVMe M.2 drive which has now dropped to 96% health. I doubt...
  9. KB5007651 update

Thank you. I installed the latest version of Powershell and got it to run. I rebooted my PC and checked for Windows Updates, but alas, it is still trying to install on every check. I'm going to call it a day now. Basic users should not have to jump through hoops to fix issues introduced by MS...
  10. KB5007651 update

I'm not having much luck. Firstly, the Defaults page you show is nothing like what I see. But I did manage to get it to point to my desktop. But it won't run.
  11. KB5007651 update

Sorry to be thick, how do I get powershell to start with Users/name folder? It normally opens with Windows/System32
  12. KB5007651 update

I ran it as a .bat file (admin). Was that correct? It didn't seem to do anything.
  13. KB5007651 update

I noticed that your build of Windows 11 Pro is newer than mine. Would that make any difference? You have version 21600 3909 mine is 21600.3775. Am I missing a feature Experience update somewhere? Yours ends with 83.0 and mine ends with 66.0
  14. KB5007651 update

Thanks. I installed the latest one (there were 2 listed) as administrator but it hasn't fixed it. Thanks for trying.
