Good news, I downloaded and ran KB5027397 enablement package for 23H2 on the pc and after the restart visited Windows update and KB5053657 has started. I will be happy with 23H2 for the time being. This pc I am using at the moment is badgering me to do a beta update as I write this. Thanks everyone.

Got it today, I shut down yesterday about 2 hours before it was announced by Brink. It seems ok so far.

The requirement for Intel 8th gen processors cannot be simply the power, I checked some of the Passmark Software cpu scores and a Celeron 6305 which is approved has a score of 1196 and my laptops i3 6100U is 2638, more than double the power.

I have found updating the BIOS in modern motherboards very easy from the manufacturers websites. I avoid the beta versions and go for the highest standard one. I use a USB stick because I have used a different pc to get the BIOS than the recipient one.
