Welcome to Eleven Forum.

Your post raises a number of questions. Which version of Windows are you running at the moment? You can find out by running Winver. (click windows icon and type winver then double click on winver run command to run it.)

Have you tried running SFC (system file checker)? You can do that by right clicking on the Windows icon and selecting Terminal (admin) and then carefully typing sfc /scannow

note that there is a space between sfc and /scannow.

Tell us what the outcome is.

Have you tried running the cumulative update again? If it doesn't appear under windows update, you might need to download it from windows catalog and try installing it from there.

Disable driver updates that are included in Windows updates.
These included driver updates will sometimes conflict with installed drivers.
It sounds like that's what's causing your keyboard driver problems.

Also, I gave you ten points for filling out your computer specs.

Thanks Ghot, did the disabling as the instructions. will try now to see if the non drivers windows update will run smoothly.
I wonder what is the root cause of this keyboard driver clash ? didnt find any reference to similar problem in the net
thanks again Mr. Ghot
