This tutorial will show you how to add or remove Power Saving Mode under Wireless Adapter Settings in Power Options for all users in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
The Power Saving Mode setting under Wireless Adapter Settings in Power Options allows you to control the power saving mode of wireless adapters.
The strength and performance of your wireless network will decrease as you increase power savings, but your battery life will increase.
There are four power saving modes available to select from:
Power Saving Mode | Description |
|---|---|
| Maximum Performance | Wireless adapter will optimize performance over power saving. Default for plugged in. |
| Low Power Saving | Wireless adapter will balance between performance and power savings. |
| Medium Power Saving | Wireless adapter will balance between performance and power savings. Default for on battery. |
| Maximum Power Saving | Wireless adapter will optimize power saving over performance. |
If your device has a wireless network adapter built-in or connected, you can add the Power Saving Mode setting under Wireless Adapter Settings in Power Options if it's not already available and if you wanted to change this setting.
