I have been running outlook 2019 some time now and also have the updated version of "MAIL" in Windows 11 which I don't use at this time.

Win 23H2 OS 22631.3085

I want to add an email account for my wife in outlook in a way that she can have here own contact list. Important to her. I already have two accounts of my own which share my contact list. There must be a way of doing this but just can't find it.

Maybe someone could point me in the right direction. TKS.

Building a new desktop on the horizon; this was definitely a budget build based on circumstances at the time.
I believe if her account is a Microsoft account, she will be assigned her own contact list. At least that is the way it is for me. I manage 5 accounts. Both Microsoft accounts have their own address book. The other accounts are set to share my main account address book. When you click on the inbox of her account, on the toolbar click the icon to the right of "search people" If her personal contact list is not selected as default, click the drop arrow and select it.

Will have a look tomorrow; Her account will be set up in outlook as a Gmail account as are my other 2 that are linked in contacts.
My system specs page is filled out.
I am not seeing "search people" on my toolbar in outlook 2019

I have Outlook 2021. Gmail does not get it's own address book. It has to share with one of the others. I have 5 accounts.
hotmail-gets own address book
outlook-gets own address book
gmail-and 2 pop accounts from my internet provider have to share the global offline account for the hotmail account

In a roundabout way, I solved this problem. My wife has determined that sharing contacts for email is workable for her. Now, remember; a happy wife is a happy life. So they say. The main issue was the contact list on ou I phones. They were both synced to Gmail accounts on desktop, laptop and tablet. Once I figured out that I can have default choices on these Cell Phones I decided to switch them both from Gmail to iCloud. List re synced and all is happy, at the moment. Added and removed contacts from both cells and it worked, so for. Thanks for help all.

I realise this thread is a little old but covers some of the issues I'm trying to prepare for. At the moment, I'm pottering along with Outlook 2010 on my Windows 10 Pro ThinkPad with 99% of of my email with 2 Gmail POP3 accounts and have my PST files stored on that computer (regularly backed up with Macrium Reflect). I use CompanionLink to sync data, including Contacts), to my phone. This arrangement works reasonably well.

The ThinkPad is not W11 compliant and I have purchased a refurbished Dell Latitude 7400 with Windows 11 Pro which I'm very slowly setting up with a local account, trying to tame W11 and at some stage installing MS Office 2021 Pro Plus which I bought a while back in readiness, eventually making the Dell my main computer. I understand that MS really doesn't like POP accounts and I might be forced down a different road if I continue my ~ 30 year love/hate relationship with Outlook, but are there other pitfalls ahead I should be aware of? I presume I need to uninstall or otherwise disable the MS 365 lurking on the Dell.

I would be greatful for any advice - I'm not anxious to make the move as long as my ThinkPad continues as it is and I've got a lot of critical stuff going on just now, so just trying to take everything one step at a time.
