Well WSA was a spectacular failure (to run android apps on Windows).

One of the main reasons was you could only install apps from a subset of the Amazon appstore not the vastly superior Google Playstore (not with hacking at least).

So what is going to happen to Kindle tablets which are strongly Amazin Appstore based - is the end of Kindles?

The only thing I have used WSA for was to install the Blink app on my desktop. Much better to view my cameras from my 34" monitor than with the small screens on my Echo box or phone. My old eyes aren't what they use to be.

That's a good question. My son has a Kindle and I know he will be ticked off if he can't download new content.

From an email sent to me today, it looks like Fire devices (and I assume that covers kindle variations) will be ok.
