I'm running it in my VMware Workstation 11. Every time I install VMware Tools my VM screen goes black! I tried this 3 time now with the same results. Has anyone ells running in VMware have this happen?? Is there a fix?? My aim is to have VM in full screen and not the minimal res the ISO give you. Or is the ISO the problem?? Thanks for any help.
In lieu of anyone being able to provide a solution for using VMware Workstation 11, have you considered upgrading to a newer version (current is 16.1.2) or even going to Hyper-V? The compatibility matrix indicates that that only Windows 10 prior to version 1809 is supported with Workstation 11. It may well be that the display driver included in VMware tools with version 11 is simply too outdated. After all, workstation 11 is vintage 2014.
Note that Hyper-V is free if you have Windows Pro.

You know how it is. You use software that just works and you don't think to update at all. Well I'm on Workstation 16 with VMWare Tools installed with a big smile on my face. Thanks everyone for getting this old man updated.
