Either restore a previous backup of Windows or activate by phone. Not sure why "Windows cannot be activated" just on a BIOS upgrade unless your windows source was not an official one, Note also some of those cheap editions can be blocked by Ms - some work so it's "Caveat Emptor" if you used those.

Tried that too with no success since it's not office hours. I just bought a new license since i lost my nerve with this bullcrap. Working now.
That's why I always install to a VM first -- even if physical hardware changes - the "Virtual hardware" doesn't - and after cloning to real hardware you can update the physical drivers. Customer service just gets worse in every area these days - I'm surprised though there's not some "Robot chat line" that shpuld be able to guide you through the process.

I'm glad that 90% of the time I'm on Linux - W11 VM's run fine on it. -- that's another issue though.

Cheers

The BIOS update updated the firmware TPM version and i think that is the reason my windows got deactivated. What a load of bs. There used to be a phone assistant that could activate it again but i guess it no longer exists.
