Why am I asked for the BitLocker recovery key due to unexpected change in the secure boot policy when I try to reboot into Windows 11 24H2 after booting from Ubuntu Live USB and then ending the live session?

I had the Bitlocker issue with a new Lenovo Ideapad when booting a Linux LiveUSB Thumb drive. Seems 24H2 update set up Bitlocker on the Home version which I was understanding came with the Pro version. I was never prompted for nor given the access code during it's install, didn't notice it until booting Linux. I also couldn't boot Win11 so did a fully clean install of Win11 using the Microsoft Media Creation Tool that created the bootable USB drive. After getting Win11 24H2 running I did get Bitlocker turned off.

Any change to boot configuration or firmware will trigger this. It's by design

And not providing or prompting to set an access key is part of that design?

The recovery key is always provided to the user. Whether or not they save it is another matter

It was never provided nor prompted to create one on Home version.
