Solved Brief Input Lag When Returning to Laptop

I have a Lenovo Legion with Windows 11, and for some reason when i leave my laptop for around half an hour or more, then come back, I am unable to click or type anything for about 10-15 seconds.

I'm not sure what is causing this... it's almost like something is going to sleep as has be woken back up.

Hello and welcome to the forum. You do not say what your power state is when you come back after 30 minutes. Do you wake it from sleep for this problem to occur? How do you have your power options set? (ie: when to turn off display, when the computer sleeps)

So my computer does not sleep, display off, or even screen saver. It's just left logged in and sitting on the desktop or the web page that i last left up.

My power options are set for High Performance.

Before following very good advice given by glasskuter try to restore default Power settings (sorry, I'm using a Polish version of Windows so I had to copy a screenshot from the web) and check - just in case - BIOS / UEFI settings (you haven't written since when you are experiencing the problem).
It's also possible that one of the devices on your machine has changed its power plan to Restricted / Optimized, or whatever we call it (see the Device Manager).
Have you recently changed your mouse or router?
And lastly: does the problem occur while your laptop is battery powered?

I think this issue is discussed on another thread Very Minor Desktop Icon issue It is most likely due to Windows widgets. Disable them if you don't use them.

Thanks! This does look exactly like the same problem I'm having. I thought I was only one!

I have disabled widgets now, and should know shortly after going afk from my laptop for 30 minutes or so.
