Can you natively somehow control brightness with touchpad gestures, like volume?

Hello,

I have a W11 Home 24H2 26100.3037 laptop, and I love that you can customize the gestures of the touchpad. However, there's one gesture that I am missing so much because it's so convenient, and it's brightness control. Swipe up with 4 fingers to brighten the screen, opposite to darken.

If you go to:

1738118019039.webp
1738118033279.webp
1738118060006.webp

There's no option for brightness, which is pretty sad from Microsoft...

I know there's this app:

and it's the one I am using, but I'd like to set it within Windows 11.

I tested and I can but I have to have the control open [same panel as for Sound] so as to get the focus of the pointer on it.

you cant control brightness anymore with gestures natively. the closest you can get to native would be to create an ahk script, assign it a hotkey and then assign that hotkey to a gesture. only downside is you would only be able to set it to a specified percentage (such as 50% or whatever) and then back to 100% via a second ahk script.

you could also just assign WIN+A as the gesture which opens the controls for brightness, etc.
