Cd dvd player , m2 sss

Is the ODD internal or a portable USB drive? I have an internal in my Dell Vostro Desktop, shows in Device Management. Sometimes an ODD won't show in Windows unless a commercial disc is in it. The use of a commercial disc is more reliable for testing than one burned on someone's computer.

I also use a couple NVMe M.2 drives in USB cases by Sabrent, one is 256GB and the other 1TB, no issues on USB 3 ports, both formatted as NTFS.

m.2 memory???? do you mean an m.2 drive? External reader???do you mean an external enclosure for the m.2 drive?
Is the external dvd drive detected in another machine?
