Do you have a backup of this current install? It is always wise to have a backup. For your laptop you would need an external drive.
Also, if there is a recovery partition for your proprietary Windows install, there is every chance that it will be deleted during the install process, so going back to your laptop makers default setup (Factory Settings) will be no longer available if needed. (Unless you can download it from the maker)
I always ignore these because resetting Windows is very easy, proprietary doesn't really do much and is usually just a stripped down OS full of bloatware.
You would need someone smarter than I to answer that one.
