I have never had the type of problems that I am now having with Windows 11. Suddenly if I click on an app or program or even the Windows Menu, the click does nothing. Then it said something about too many open 16 bit programs. I went googling, and this situation was happening since Vista. One link said to use notepad to increase the number of files and buffers, name the notepad config.sys and save in the root C:\ drive. I did that and Windows seems to run as before, so far, problem solved. Windows wouldn't let me save in the root of C:\ so had to save in another file then drag to the root. This file doesn't show in Explorer, but does in Everything Search.
Has anyone had anything like this happen in W11:
