Hi all,

I would expect closing the lid shuts down my laptop . . . . . . .

. . . . . . . . but NO !

Switched the various settings on/off several times and rebooted. Issue stays :-(

Any suggestions ?

Thanks

I had to disable "Power On Lid" in BIOS in our Dell laptop to stop auto power on when opening the lid.

Why would you decide to mark this as solved ? Is that to cheat and improve forum statistics ?

If that statement was directed at me I couldn't care less about that nonsense. Only somebody that does would suggest such a thing. Done here.

Thanks Mitch,

But . . .

Errrrr, I want if off when c.losing the lid. Is do not mind firing up when opening the lid, that actually kind of make sense to me.

I checked the BIOS but could not find any settings related to closing / opening the lid.
