Our company builds systems with embedded web servers for the user interface. Typically I connect to these systems using Google Chrome with an IP address (+ Port Number). The IP address may be on my local network or it may be an exposed address on the internet. If I have been using the Chrome Browser for general browsing, I will get a "Your search - (IP Address) did not match any documents". The only way I've found around this is to go to settings and "Clear browsing data". Occasionally, if I have browsed successfully to the device, it will suggest the device's name as I type in the IP address and the suggested link works.
Obviously, "Clearing browsing data" creates problems with later browsing. Any ideas?
I didn't have this problem with my previous laptop (Windows 10). Others in my company w/ Windows 11 don't have the problem although when supporting customers, I sometimes have to tell them to "Clear browsing history" as well.
