Consoles Broke Their Deal, Now PC Is King

lol no thanks. I'll stick with my consoles. You don't need the ps5 pro. Its an option.

I just finished reading the article. There are much more annoyances with PC than what the author stated.

I hate the multiple launchers, the constant headaches and captchas of trying to play free to play games (needing a phone number for everything , solving their stupid math problems 20 times, etc), and all of the frustrating updates. The fact that while you can do it from a couch, it's a terrible experience navigation wise.

My console turns on, I play the game. That's it. It works and I don't need to fuss with it. No driver update needed, no messing with settings to get a certain performance, it just works. I don't get logged out, my games stay updated. I don't need to worry about cheaters. My game suspends itself and I am back to playing it within a few ACTUAL seconds of turning it on. I don't have to wait for compiling shaders....

I don't have to sit there and wait. That's the console advantage for me.
Most console games are 60fps now and most shooters are 120. (unless switch lol) I have a 120hz tv so it's pretty nice.

I get why some people like PC gaming, but I honestly dislike it a lot. Every now and then I try it and sometimes it's a good experience, but when I compared the amount of time I actually play between the console and pc, I get way more play time on the console. The PC setup part of it is just not worth it to me. You spend way more time trying to play on pc vs actually playing.

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?
i've got no qualms on consoles. I like the fact that I have been able to buy them for $400-$500 generally, and they just work. No having to look at system requirements for games, etc. And they have lasted 5+ years for me at least between refreshes. I don't have to back them up.

I never really gamed much on the playstation. I have an Xbox360 and a PS3 (that I used almost exclusively as a blu-ray player). I never cared for the playstation dashboard and experience. Was always happier on the Xbox. I later got an Xbox One, then an Xbox One X that I bought from a neighbor used, and now I have a Series X. (my only real complaint about the Series X is the crazy expensive expansion drive that is needed to play the designed for X games.

I do game on both, I usually play Call of Duty on my PC, but for my racing games (Forza, Dirt, Grid) and such I prefer the console connected at 4k to my 75" TV.

Nah. They both have their place. I am wondering what would be a good test for my new computer (and how it would compare to my PS5....only games on my computer atm are Civ VI and PoE (both of which I can get on the PS5).

I've always been a PC gamer, keyboard and mouse. Never could get used to game controllers.

haha I'm the opposite. I hate the tank feeling of a keyboard with the movement. I def agree aming with a mouse is easier but I hate the keyboard moving. Def prefer controller. The ps5 controller is the best in my opinion.
