We are excited to announce that Copilot is now available on OneNote web and OneNote in Teams for our commercial customers, a powerful feature designed to enhance your productivity and streamline your workflow. Copilot is seamlessly integrated in the chat pane, providing users with intelligent assistance and support on web and in Teams.
Commercial customers can now leverage Copilot in OneNote web and in Teams
With Copilot by your side, you can easily summarize a page, ask a question, or get help with whatever you are working on, draft plans, generate ideas, create lists, and more without leaving OneNote. Whether you're working on a project, preparing for a meeting, or simply jotting down ideas, Copilot in OneNote web and Teams is the perfect partner for boosting productivity and creativity on the go.
Note: Copilot is already available on the OneNote Windows, Mac, and iPad apps. You can invoke Copilot chat by clicking on Copilot icon within Home tab of the ribbon.
Here are some sample prompts you can try in Copilot chat:
- Summarize my meeting notes on this page using bullet points.
- Create an onboarding checklist for new hires based on the process notes on this page.
- Help me plan for the opening of a team office in Tucson, using my notes on this page.
- Suggest three ways I can rewrite this paragraph to be more concise.
- Draft a follow-up email based on the meeting action items on this page.
Use Copilot to quickly summarize meeting transcript content on OneNote in teams or OneNote on web
Known Limitations
- Copilot in OneNote web and in Teams can answer questions based on your current notebook page, other M365 files you have access to, as well as information from the internet. Section and notebook-level context is coming soon.
Requirements
To use this feature, you must have:- A stable internet connection
- A Microsoft 365 Copilot Business Subscription
- Connected experiences enabled
Availability
This feature will start rolling out to commercial customers starting February 2025. This feature is not yet available for Microsoft Copilot Pro users (consumer licenses).Feedback
