This tutorial will show you how to "Copy as table" from a screenshot image captured by the Snipping Tool app in Windows 11.
Starting with Snipping Tool (version 11.2409.22.0) for Windows Insiders in the Canary. Dev, Beta, and Release Preview Channels, Microsoft is adding a new option for “Copy as table”.
You can use “Copy as table” to easily copy and paste structured table data into an email, document, or spreadsheet.
Please note: the current implementation of the feature works best when your screenshot only includes one table.
EXAMPLE: Snipping Tool showing copy as table option with text pasted into Microsoft Excel
Here's How:
1 Open the Snipping Tool app, and take a screenshot of the image area you want to copy a table from. (see screenshot below)

Take and Annotate Screenshots with Snipping Tool app in Windows 11
This tutorial will show you how to use the Snipping Tool app to take and annotate screenshots to save or share in Windows 11. The Snipping Tool app includes a built-in screen recorder and allows you to quickly take and annotate screenshots, photos and other images with your pen, touch, or mouse...

2 Click/tap on the Text Actions button on the toolbar to show all selectable text on the captured screenshot image. (see screenshot below)
3 Click/tap on the Copy as table on the toolbar. (see screenshot below)
4 The table will now be copied to the clipboard for you to paste (Ctlr+V) into where you like. (see screenshot below)
That's it,
Shawn Brink
