Could doing a system restore could cause windows 11 widget app and icon to not open-load up after a restore.

Wanted to know if doing a system restore could cause the windows 11 widget app to not open or load up after a restore and have tried the options mentioned to get it working and functioning.Have used system restore usually with little trouble or probs and wondered if there are other people having the same or similar kinds of issues and probs in Windows 11 and with widgets.Imention System Restore cause it seemed to happen or occur after that.

The more detailed you are, the better the chance someone here could assist you.
  • What options mentioned are you referring to?
  • What type of system restore did you do?

Also could you please type “Winver” into search on your PC and open it.
Please type the version and build that it reports, into your “System Specs / OS” section (first on the list where you have placed “Windows 11”)

Just a restore that rolled it back to one of the earlier restore points and ast some point after the widget-widget icon on the tackbar wouldn't open and load up and the toggle is set as being on. Windows 11 Home V23H2 -Build 22631.3447

I should ask, @txsguy1968, have you rebooted since the restore?

Failing all of the above:

You can run the SFC /scannow command from any console, including the command prompt, PowerShell, or Windows Terminal. Open one of these as Admin and type or past that command and press enter, then wait for it to finish.
Then, run the following command:

DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

-—>

Open search on your PC, type CMD. Right click on the Icon and “Open as admin”
Type (or copy and paste) the following command”

Code: 
SFC /scannow

Press enter.

When completed, type (or copy and paste) the following command:

Code: 
DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Press enter and be patient.

Reboot your PC

Of no help whatsoever in fixing your problem, but for future consideration .... I have never had any success - or subsequent faith - in any of the Windows 3 R's : Restore, Repair or Recover. Each/All have had whiskers on, both for myself and from anecdotal evidence of posts in multiple forums across the internet.

Consequently I rely solely on imaging, and at worst, clean installs.
